EIT Digital believes in making and shaping a competitive digital Europe that is inclusive, fair and sustainable and aims at global impact through European innovation fueled by entrepreneurial talent and digital technology. EIT Digital embodies the future of innovation by mobilizing a pan-European multi-stakeholder open-innovation ecosystem of top European corporations, SMEs, startups, universities and research institutes, where students, researchers, engineers, business developers and investors address the technology, talent, skills, business and capital needs of digital entrepreneurship. 

EIT Digital builds the next generation of digital ventures, digital products and services, helping businesses and entrepreneurs to be at the frontier of digital innovation by providing them with technology, talent, and growth support.

As a Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, also co-funded by the European Union, EIT Digital invests in strategic areas to accelerate the market uptake and scaling of research-based digital technologies (deep tech) focusing on Europe’s strategic, societal challenges: Digital Tech, Digital Cities, Digital Industry, Digital Wellbeing, and Digital Finance. In addition, EIT Digital breeds T-shaped entrepreneurial digital talent focused on innovation through a blended Education Strategy that includes a Master School, an Industrial Doctoral School and a Professional School.

Since 2015, Found.ation has been a partner of EIT Digital, with the objective of supporting and strengthening the Greek, as well as the regional, innovation ecosystem. Through the implementation of common, well-structured initiatives we have been boosting startup entrepreneurship as well as the digital transformation of companies and organizations.

Flagship initiatives include:

• The 2 Innovation Ecosystem Reports, Startups in Greece and Digital Transformation in Greece that have been produced since 2017 covering the evolution and challenges of the ecosystem on an annual basis. 
• The EIT Digital Venture Startup Program, a regional early stage accelerator that supports startups in their very early-stage, helping the ecosystem nurture more companies. Since 2018 it has been providing specialized training, mentoring and financial support of up to €25,000 for up to 10 startups per year.  
• The Digital Transformation Conference, an annual gathering of the innovation ecosystem of Greece that initiated in 2016, where progress and challenges are presented and discussed between executives, startup founders, and the academia.
