The winners of Start4Health challenge by Pfizer Center for Digital Innovation (CDI)

Start4Health challenge was successfully completed, awarding two groundbreaking solutions that tackle challenges of the health industry, improve the digital experience of patients, and promote wellness through technology.

Start4Health challenge was successfully completed, awarding two groundbreaking solutions that tackle challenges of the health industry, improve the digital experience of patients, and promote wellness through technology. 

Start4Health challenge concluded with a huge success and awarded the two innovative solutions, e-NIOS and Docandu with a total cash prize of €35,000.  

What is Start4Health 

Start4Health is a six-week Accelerator launched by Pfizer Center for Digital Innovation (CDI), focused on Digital Health with the aim to discover and develop breakthrough solutions that can tackle challenges of the health industry, improve the digital experience of patients, and promote wellness through technology.  

During the program, the 5 selected startups participated in interactive workshops and webinars and were guided by mentors and coaches of the technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem, including Pfizer executives and leaders as well as Found.ation and Sci.Co team members, with the purpose of enabling the teams to refine and mold their solutions into scalable businesses.    

The 5 qualified teams 

  • Althexis P.C.: Democratizing Skin Examination Technology by integrating advanced AI technology and Multispectral imaging with Cloud support and Telemedicine features. 
  • Cloudpharm Private Company: Secondary targeting possibilities for approved or under development drugs. 
  • Collaborate Healthcare IKE: A patient management & collaboration platform that helps care teams in individual practices or hospital clinics prevent, manage and treat effectively patients with multiple chronic conditions through smart, intuitive and collaborative electronic health records. 
  • Docandu: A fully integrated patient-centric platform that simplifies the way patients manage their health and consult a doctor. 
  • e-NIOS: A complete, fully automated analysis of multiomic data for drug targeting/pharmacogenomics, disease monitoring and diagnosis. 

The Winners 

After the Accelerator phase completion, the five solutions were presented and evaluated during the Demo Day, which took place at the premises of Pfizer CDI in Thessaloniki on Thursday. A judging committee consisting of distinguished members of the Technology, Innovation and Business fields, awarded the two best solutions with a total cash prize of €35,000. 

The 1st position and a €25,000 cash prize were awarded to the e-NIOS team. 

The 2nd place and €10,000 were awarded to the Docandu team. 

Apart from the monetary prizes, by taking part in the accelerator the teams had the chance to refine their business model, optimize their value propositions, enhance their market position, and explore potential future collaboration opportunities with Pfizer.
