Unveiling success: Printec Lab concludes an inspiring innovation journey

Printec proudly concludes the third edition of its internal innovation competition, Printec Lab, a collaborative venture with Found.ation. This dynamic initiative, strategically aimed at inspiring innovation and empowering their talented workforce, navigated through the realms of Product/Service Innovation and Internal Processes/Working Environment.

Since its launch in July, Printec Lab has evolved into a beacon of creativity, captivating 34 ingenious idea submissions from Printec’s passionate employees. Through meticulous mentorship, guidance, and intense pitching sessions, six outstanding ideas emerged as finalists, marking an impressive journey of ideation and refinement.

During the call for applications, Printec Lab launched the Ideation and Refinement Phase, a content series that included a step-by-step idea generation process, ideation techniques, and tips on how to apply to the Printec Lab. This phase aimed to further inspire the employees and equip them with the necessary tools to conceptualize new projects.

One of the highlights of Printec Lab was the Innovation Campfire during the call for applications. This online event included talks around digital transformation and the competition’s areas of interest: AI & ESG. The aim was to stimulate employees on the impact of innovation and increase awareness and engagement for the Printec Lab.

Throughout the Ideas Development phase, workshops and seminars were delivered to expose the 6 finalist teams to innovative methodologies of product/service development like Design Thinking and Startup Mindset. Additionally, coaching sessions from the Found.ation team provided tailored guidance to help the teams convert their ideas into well-defined projects.

The journey culminated in a Pitching Workshop, an interactive session focusing on effective communication and presentation of the teams’ projects. Here, the finalists refined their pitches and honed their storytelling skills to present their ideas compellingly.

The pinnacle of excitement was reached in December as the finalist teams converged in Athens for a riveting Demo Day. Here, they artfully showcased their projects to the expert evaluation committee. It is joyously announced the triumph of two winning teams, celebrating their exceptional contributions. However, it is paramount to underscore Printec’s commitment to developing all six ideas, steering towards a future enriched with innovation and advancement.

This success narrative is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in making Printec Lab a resounding triumph.
